# A website proposal lists many functions: how can you find unstated prerequisites?

A website proposal should explain required materials, accounts, external authorization, and ongoing responsibility for each function, helping buyers identify unstated prerequisites. This suits companies comparing proposals or preparing contracts. A function name does not establish that its dependencies exist. Missing conditions may affect scope, scheduling, and maintenance and need clarification before implementation.

## Break every function into inputs and results

For ‘multilingual support,’ ask who translates, how versions are approved, and what visitors see after switching. For ‘inquiry support,’ ask what is collected, who receives it, and how failure is handled. Every technical detail need not be specified immediately, but both parties should understand work objects and expected results.

Record five questions for each function: which materials are used, who supplies accounts, whether external services are required, how acceptance works, and who maintains it after launch. Mark unanswered questions for confirmation. Familiar service names are not a reason to skip conditions.

## Do not hide external dependencies in function descriptions

Mailboxes, domains, third-party interfaces, and other services may require company accounts or separate authorization. Ask who applies, pays renewals, configures them, and handles changing service conditions. Check specific requirements against the selected service's official information; this article does not supply unverified product limitations.

If a proposal says ‘connect to the business system’ but the company lacks interface documentation and authorization, treat the connection as work awaiting assessment, not a ready function in the launch plan. The system owner supplies conditions, then technical staff determine scope and verification. Content can also be a hidden prerequisite. Product display does not mean the supplier organizes all specifications. Content administration does not mean approval rules already exist. Page templates do not mean individual entry is included. Document these conditions to compare actual delivery. ## Assign someone to close unconfirmed items

For each outstanding prerequisite, record the owner, materials needed, and completion conditions. If workload may change, specify when costs and schedule impacts are assessed. If the first release is unaffected, note later arrangements. Not every uncertainty blocks starting, but distinguish objects that can proceed from those that must wait.

When discussing a corporate website proposal with [JVDS Design Studio](https://www.jvds.cn/en), use these questions to check conditions for planning, design, development, and related modules. Confirm specific CMS, multilingual, basic SEO, and launch maintenance scope within the project instead of inferring it from general copy.

Contracts and approval files should match these prerequisites. If an account is verbally assigned to the company but documents still say ‘everything handled,’ receiving staff may misunderstand. Synchronize adopted conditions with the delivery inventory so materials do not retain conflicting explanations.

## Test proposal logic through a complete demonstration

Choose an important function and ask the supplier to explain its input, operation, result, and maintenance. Demonstrate real samples if needed, recording verified portions and remaining material dependencies. A long function list cannot show whether the company is ready to implement it.

Success means key functions have usable inputs, clear responsibility, and checking methods, while unavailable conditions have executable arrangements. This makes the proposal specific but does not eliminate every risk. Reassess affected portions when new materials or external conditions change.

## Frequently asked questions

### If a proposal says ‘all-inclusive price,’ must prerequisites still be checked?

Yes. ‘All-inclusive’ must correspond to specific objects and conditions, especially material preparation, external accounts, authorization, and renewals. Without a stated scope, coverage of the company's actual work cannot be judged.

### Must the whole project stop because one interface is unconfirmed?

Not necessarily. Check its effect on the core journey and current work. Independent pages and content may continue, while related processes stay awaiting confirmation with their launch-scope impact stated.
