In the final days before launch, teams often fall into an inefficient cycle of "reviewing the pages again." Designers check spacing, developers check functions, and marketing checks copy, but without one checklist and severity system, minor issues consume repeated discussion while problems affecting inquiries, indexing, and security are missed.

Effective acceptance focuses on user tasks and business risks and identifies owners, test environments, issue levels, and closure criteria. This checklist suits corporate websites, brand websites, and B2B marketing sites. Systems involving transactions, accounts, or sensitive data require deeper security and business testing.

02 Content and Brand Information Checks

They are neither the only quality standards nor a ranking guarantee, but they help identify loading, interaction, and layout-stability issues.

10 Final Handoff and Ownership Checks

  • □ The company controls domain, server, CMS, analytics, search-platform, and third-party accounts;
  • □ Licensing inventories for fonts, images, plugins, SDKs, and open-source dependencies are complete;
  • □ Administrators, editors, support staff, and technical staff complete basic training;
  • □ Maintenance scope, Bug submission, response methods, and new-requirement processes are clear;
  • □ The issue list has final statuses, and every open item has an owner and due date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should own website acceptance?

At minimum, business/content, design, development, and project owners should participate. Security, privacy, legal, and SEO specialists should review their areas when relevant.

Must every P2 and P3 issue be fixed before launch?

No. P0 and P1 issues generally block launch. P2 and P3 items may enter an explicit post-launch backlog based on risk, but cannot be forgotten.

Is testing only in Chrome sufficient?

No. Cover mainstream browsers, operating systems, and real devices used by the target audience, especially mobile Safari, Chrome, and common enterprise environments.

Does Lighthouse need a score of 100 before launch?

Do not pursue a cosmetic perfect score. Prioritize core tasks, real-user experience, key metrics, and business risk, then continue optimizing.

Is acceptance still needed after launch?

Yes. DNS, cache, third-party APIs, analytics, and search crawling can be fully validated only in production. Review immediately and again at planned intervals.
